about me
mortimer warlimont

I am a seasoned visual effects (VFX) professional with decades of experience across film, television, and commercials. My journey began in childhood, working as an extra on film shoots and modeling for photo projects. At 14, I joined the Bavaria Film Tour at Munich’s renowned Bavaria Film Studios, where iconic films like The NeverEnding Story, Das Boot, and Enemy Mine were produced.
By the age of 17, I secured my first internship with Germany’s largest commercial production company. At 20, I started as a set runner and driver, quickly advancing to roles in set management and production assistance. After completing school and military service, I landed a pivotal internship as a special effects artist on An American Werewolf in Paris, starring Julie Delpy and Tom Everett Scott.
I spent the next decade honing my craft in special effects, contributing to films such as The Patriot (with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger) and 10,000 B.C. In 2006, I transitioned to visual effects, joining Scanline VFX as a Compositing Supervisor. After working on the first Avengers movie, I became a Visual Effects Supervisor at ARRI VFX and later contributed to several Marvel films while working with Trixter.
More recently, I worked at Sehsucht, one of Germany’s leading VFX studios for commercials and episodic content for Netflix, Sky, Porsche (nominated for best vfx from German Commercial Production Association), BMW, Mini, O2 (award winning vfx), ARD and many more.
Today, I continue to bring my expertise and passion for visual storytelling to new and exciting projects as a Visual Effects Supervisor.
